Electromagnetic flowmeters are devices that measure conductive liquids with precision and stability. However, sometimes, during normal operation, the display may display the PAL message.
PAL stands for "Power Abnormal Lock," also known as an "empty pipe alarm." It indicates that the device has detected an abnormal power supply and is locking itself to prevent further damage.
Solutions are as follows:
1. Check if the pipe is full or if there are bubbles in the liquid.
2. Check if the meter is properly grounded. Check if the on-site pipe is made of a non-conductive material (such as plastic or duplex steel). If so, grounding is required.
3. Check if the measured medium is conductive and if the conductivity is low. Enter the password 181818 and find the Pipe Condition Analysis function in the System Parameters. Refer to the value on the left and change the value on the right to a value greater than the value on the left.
