Guide to Selecting Lining and Electrode Materials for Electromagnetic Flowmeters
Choosing the right lining and electrode material for your electromagnetic flowmeter is critical to achieving accurate and reliable measurements.
Our latest resource provides valuable insights and a series of illustrations to help you make an informed decision.
Liner Materials
Neoprene: For tap water, industrial water, and seawater.
Polyurethane: For slurry media such as pulp and ore slurry, with high hardness, high strength, and wear resistance.
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE): For use with corrosive acid, alkali, and salt liquids, with excellent heat and chemical resistance.
Electrode Materials
Stainless steel: For non-corrosive media such as domestic and industrial water. However, it is not suitable for highly corrosive environments.
Hastelloy: Ideal for mild acid and mild alkali corrosive environments.
Titanium: Especially suitable in the presence of chloride ions, it can resist a wide range of corrosive substances.
For a visual guide, see our images. These images clearly show the characteristics and applications of different materials, helping you to select the right material
for your specific media and operating conditions.
Make the right choice for your electromagnetic flowmeter to ensure optimal performance.
